Synopsis

Synopsis

Once there lived four women on the Mother Earth. (Of course, there lived men and the other women as well.) Thereupon Fight had occurred over who'd be the Mother Goodness of the ground, Hamako was chosen, which incurred grudge, and leading up to be killed. Obviously, the suspect lay among the other three women! (Of course, there lived men and the other women as well.) But why, Hamako was chosen, and then murdered?
And the detective of this case, Aga Christine was a racially mixed woman, played by the actress who originally performed the role of Hamako, now passed away.
In the meantime, the director Kamisato was in a diner at Odawara, midnight, thinking;
"How come there's such difference between Yokohama and Kawasaki City? They are both located in Kanagawa Prefecture....”

Director's Note

Supposing, we are regulated for the most part by the city where we live and act.
At a guess, a city is mostly regulated by the people who living and acting in itself.
If "city" and "us" should live together, could we be really, released from there?
I've been thinking of what is not becoming free and what is, staring at appearance of the houses spreading to any extent.

But, I'd like to keep it carefully; this play won't be too sentimental.

Profile

Okazaki Art Theatre・・・

founded aimed to perform theatrical works of Kamisato Yudai, director and playwright.
Okazaki Seiji, is the leader of troupe. When Kamisato established the company, his family name "Okazaki" was adopted for Kamisato's debt owed to him. Okazaki is currently working on the real estate business in Noborito Ward of Kawasaki City.

Being born in Peru and raised in Kawasaki Japan has made Kamisato's direction uniquely balanced with Latin American-like "dynamic of frank use of language and the body," and a naive sensitivity of the "Newtown."

"Old Air-Conditioner" 2010 ? Yuta Fukitsuka

In 2006, Kamisato won "Best Director Award" in Toga Director Contest for directed Pablo Picasso's "Desire Caught by the Tail" .
In 2009, his original play "Mr. Haircut" was nominated for last round of the 54th Kishida Drama Award.

This time, Okazaki Art Theatre presents a newly directed stage followed by "Old-Air Conditioner," performed in Festival / Tokyo 10 Emerging Artists Program in 2010, produced applause of local and international.
